Pre-orders are now available and we are getting the same question: Which one should I buy?
Our answer: Buy the iPhone XR!

Which one should I buy, the iPhone XR or the iPhone XS or XS Max?

Why? Even if you have enough money to invest in on a new mobile phone, we recommend you to get the XR instead of the XS or XS Max because:

1. It is $250 less than the iPhone XR

The iPhone XR starts at $749 for 64 GB of storage and can go up to $899 for 256 GB.
The iPhone XS starts at $999 for 64 GB of storage and up to $1,349 for 512 GB.
The iPhone XS Max starts at $1,099 for 64 GB of storage and goes up to $1,449 for 512 GB.

Financially speaking, it’s a better deal to get the iPhone XR of 256 GB, if you can afford it. But not everybody needs so much storage. We would love to have 512GB in the iPhone XR, because of our work. But you can check how much storage you are currently using and you will have a clear idea of how much you need.

2. The iPhone XR has a larger screen than the iPhone XS

iPhone XR screen size: 6.1-inch LCD (1,792 x 828 Pixels)
iPhone XS screen size: 5.8-inch OLED (2,436 x 1,125 pixels)

I don’t know about you, but we love the size, is not too big and not too small. Just right!

3. The iPhone XR and the iPhone XS have the identical front camera and near-identical rear camera

Both phones have 7MP, ƒ/2.2 front camera to power Apple’s TrueDepth Camera system for Face ID., and they both come with all the same features that use the front-facing camera, including portrait mode with advanced bokeh and depth control, 1080p HD video recording, Smart HDR for photos, and Animoji.

Both iPhone XR and XS have the same 12MP wide-angle lens on the rear camera and most of the same features such as optical image stabilization, Smart HDR, portrait mode, and more.

The main difference is the zoom. The iPhone XR lacks a telephoto lens, so it can only achieve 3x digital zoom.

4. iPhone XR and XS performance is the same

All 3 iPhones XS, XS Max, and XR are powered by Apple’s new A12 Bionic chip, which includes a 6-core CPU, a 4-core GPU, and a next-generation neural engine that’s dedicated to machine learning.
Compared with the A11 Bionic chip that powered last year’s iPhone X, which could do 600 billion operations per second.

5. The iPhone XR Battery life is better than the iPhone XS

The iPhone XR  can last about 15.5 to 16.5 hours on a single charge, two-to-three hours of battery life, compared to the iPhone XS and XS Max.

Because of performance, battery life, size, and price, the winner of this year is definitely the iPhone XR.
